Importers Continue to Make Supply Chain Changes

An interesting fact in this article from the WSJ today (Nov. 22nd), "The U.S. has imported more goods from Europe than from China this year." And with the growth in imports into the U.S. from European suppliers the growth of container volumes in U.S. East Coast ports like NY, Savannah and Charleston continues. If this trend continues into 2023 the question may be can these ports handle the increased volumes efficiently?

As I enter my 39th year in international trade it's clear that change is the only constant. Stay tuned!
